Looking over at my friend I asked, “how long does the flight take?”
She replied, “It takes three hours to get to Mexico.”
“Okay,” I nodded in acknowledgement.
When the six of us got back a week later, I was talking to a colleague of mine at work. He asked me, “How long did the flight take?”
“Just over three hours,” I answered.
The next summer the six of us had decided that we were going to fly to London to spend some time with our other friends who lived over there.
Natalie turned to Naomi and asked, “how long will it take?”
Naomi replied, “it will take eight hours.”
